One-to-One Trauma-Informed Yoga

These sessions are for anyone looking to better understand their emotions and nervous system responses. They offer a practical, body-based approach to emotional balance and to support trauma recovery.

Cat is an accredited Trauma Informed Yoga teacher with experience in working with many people who feel overwhelmed or held back by feelings of anxiety, stress, low mood and many other emotional and physical symptoms of distress or trauma held in the body.

Common Concerns:

  • “I’m not flexible/strong enough for yoga.” → No problem! This isn’t all about postures—it’s about understanding the mind-body connection.

  • “I’m already in counselling/therapy.” → Great! These sessions complement therapy by offering tools to work with emotions in a new way.

What to Expect:

  • Before: You might feel anxious, unsure, or even skeptical—but also hopeful and curious.

  • During & After: Sessions can bring greater self-awareness, emotional steadiness, and a sense of control over reactions. Over time, the goal is to move from reactive to responsive, feeling more grounded, empowered, and in tune with yourself.

Trauma informed yoga is unlike most yoga classes. There will often be movement, breathing techniques and relaxation practices involved, but with added awareness practice, information about the nervous system and how it relates to your inner experience and taking time to notice patterns of your own emotional reactions and responses.

Programmes are usually 8-weeks, 12-weeks or ongoing. Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly and last for 1-hour.

In-person sessions are the most popular and are held in either Hillsborough or Broomhall, Sheffield.

Online sessions are available.
