 About Cat On The Mat Yoga

At Cat on the Mat, we believe yoga should be accessible, welcoming, and adaptable to individual needs. Our mission is to support your well-being through a range of yoga classes, one-to-one sessions, and workshops designed to help you feel more at ease in both body and mind.

We offer:
* Weekly claases - including Yin/Hatha, Yoga for all and Chair yoga.
* Self-care weekend workshops – Monthly sessions including sound baths, yoga fundementals, and yoga for the pelvic floor. * Trauma informed yoga and Worry Warriors - Specialised programmes focused on emotional regulation and nervous system support to help bring feelings of safety to body and mind.

We welcome you exactly as you are. Our teachers offer modifications to suit your unique needs, and our small class sizes ensure a more personal experience. We believe there’s no one-size-fits-all yoga—just the right practice for you, at the right time.

 About Cat

Yoga first came into my life as a way to manage anxiety and support my mental health. I was stiff, inflexible, and unsure of what to expect, but my first class planted the seed for what would later become my passion and career.

As well as my Children’s yoga and Hatha yoga teaching qualifications, I am an accredited trauma-informed yoga teacher with a strong focus on nervous system flexibility and mental well-being. My approach is playful, inclusive, and centered on creating a safe space where students feel welcome, supported, and free to breathe and rest.

I believe yoga isn’t about achieving perfect postures—it’s about listening to your body and giving it what it needs in each moment. We don’t exist in a yoga textbook, and no single practice works for everyone all the time.

As someone with Autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities, I have a deep understanding of the need for modifications and adaptability in yoga. My classes always include a guided relaxation, and I love to close sessions with a sung mantra, offering a mini sound bath to aid relaxation.

Whether you're seeking rest, emotional balance, or a way to reconnect with yourself, my goal is to hold space for you in a way that feels safe, supportive, and nourishing.
